Well, we all know there is Internet Explorer and then there is the great FireFox browser. I guess most people use one of these browsers to access websites.
Recently I also took a look at Opera browser (latest Version is 9.0) and I have to say I am impressed…

That’s odd, the demo on fckeditor.net has been working fine through most of the Opera 9 beta period. But when I check now the samples aren’t working (Tho I’m using a 9.01 beta). That said, this is actually the first version of Opera to support textarea editors, so I was surprised it worked so well when it did.
Maybe this could have something to do with it?

Yes, I looked this setting up too in FCKEditor but when using FCKEditor with this setting there is no change at all. The editor still does not show within Opera.
Browsing trough the mailinglist archives I saw that some people also said that they don’t know why it does not work with Opera since other Editors support Opera without problems.
I really like FCKEditor and just hope that some kind soul starts making the editor compatible with Opera. So far, I like Opera quite a lot.
