Over at the crackberry.com they posted a very good comparison of the BlackBerry and the iPhone. This should help people to decide what device they ant to get. Note: This is a pro BlackBerry site so take some comments not to seriously.
On a side note: I have been using a BlackBerry for over a year now (first a 7xxx one and now a Curve) and I have to say I like the Curve a lot. Currently I am using a Nokia N95, which is also a good phone, but compared to a BlackBerry it just can’t scope. Especially the battery life is horrible. Using Mail for Exchange, Fringe and the N95 is ready for recharge within 6 hours! And I am talking about a brand new phone here.
I thought I would never say this, but it takes a lot to beat the BlackBerry easy and use. And if the OS 4.5 will come out, which finally brings HTML eMails to the BlackBerry it will be THE device for communication usage.

The iPhone and the Blackberry are simply two different kind of products with two different kind of markets.
The BB is a device for professionals and is basically an email and agenda management device where the iPhone is a personal device made to be use without any other piece of software for professional users.
Yes, but that was before Apple started “against BlackBerry”. In a recent keynote Apple highlighted how much better their ActiveSync will be compared to BlackBerry and how much better the iPhone will be.
So the company itself (Apple) is trying to place the iPhone in the hands of business users. Just like Nokia has tried it and others.
From what I read the title should be changed to: Top 10 Reasons Why I’m Jealous that I Don’t have an iPhone.
Half of those problems are stupid, like the fact that all iPhones look the same… I still don’t see why thats a problem. If personalization is such a big deal to you, buy a skin for it. Or the lack of a (native) video recorder. Any time I actually want to record video, I’ll bring a device intended for it. The blackberry’s camera and video capabilities blow too when compared to legit recorders and cameras.
Even counting the other half of the problems that are actually legit, like the dumbass battery in the iPhone, its still a far better machine. The syncing alone makes the blackberry look stupid. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to help people get their syncing setup with Outlook and Salesforce on windows. I definitely prefer the iPhone + mac calendar and email management. If you combine that with Plaxo you can have your contacts, emails and calendars synced exactly the same across your desktop/laptop, iPhone and the web. When you add in the web browsing, video capabilities, and applications(if you jailbreak it), the blackberry looks like a child’s first plastic Fisher Price phone by comparison. Not to mention the user interface on the blackberry is a joke.
Yeah the virtual keyboard on the iPhone is a little weak, but I wouldn’t trade it in for a real keyboard. I don’t find the blackberry’s tiny keys all that much easier to type on anyways.
