Oracle released SQL Developer 1.5, latest version of Oracle’s free, powerful graphical database development tool, today.
SQL Developer provides a graphical interface so users can browse the database, run SQL, PL/SQL and SQL*Plus statements, execute SQL scripts, and edit and debug PL/SQL statements.
The latest release includes a new File Browser feature so developers can quickly and easily browse for files stored in the file system, and then open and edit them within the SQL Developer environment. They can then check out a working copy, then edit and merge changes back to their version control repositories, making team development easier.
Thought, SQL Developer is a Oracle tool, one can access MS SQL and MySQL databases as well. SQL Developer is a free tool and available here.
