I also use a wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. I have never had a problem once.  Perhaps test an Apple wirless device and see if that is an issue.  Also, depending on your setup - if you are using a usb port to power / connect your wireless device and you are also plugging in a firewire drive, you may be losing power to your port.  Or is a FIreWire issue.
