  My favorite search engine Mahalo brings you Mahalo Daily which turned the 90 minutes keynote from Steve Jobs into a 60 seconds "all you need to know" clip. This is perfect and fun to watch. Now, if you can not spend 60 seconds to watch it, then you really need to ask your self "what is wrong with me" :-)

  Netscape Navigator will die on February 1, 2008. AOL, which acquired Netscape in November 1998 for $4.2 billion, has announced today that they will discontinue development of the browser. Actually this is not a surprise for us, since the Netscape browser is now based in Firefox. So one has to really wonder why AOL did not in the first place ell heir customers to use Firefox instead. Must have been one of those smart business moves. RIP Netscape. You have been our first web browser.

  The guys over at the Mozilla Foundation released beta 1 of the next Firefox release 3. The most apparent feature is supposed to be the new bookmark management that is build on labels instead of a folder structure (which makes a lot of sense). Let's see how the browser holds up to its expectations and how it performs.

  Tomorrow we are off to the Web 2.0 Conference in Berlin. We are looking forward to meet all kind of interesting people. The schedule looks quite packed with a Web2Open event, The famous Ignite session (yes, can't wait. I looked at some of these session on the net and they look like a lot of fun), a 5 track session, that not only involves technical stuff and of course the parties.   Kenichi Ebina appears to defy the limits imposed by the human skeleton. He combines breakdancing and hip-hop with mime using movements that are simultaneously precise and fluid.   We got some new BlackBerry 8310 Curve devices and have worked with it in the last couple of days. I am trying to summarize here our thoughts on the 8310. First Impression Compared to the "old" devices (the 8xxx/7xxx series) the new 8310 is just a beauty to look at. It must be the best BlackBerry device so far. It is much thinner, lighter, features a camera and the overall impression is that this device is not only a evolution but a small revolution, as well.
